The mission of our Back2School Bash is to empower students and families for a successful school year by providing essential school supplies, fresh food, and valuable resources in a supportive, fun, and uplifting environment. We aim to eliminate barriers to learning and ensure that every child feels confident and prepared for their educational journey, all while fostering a strong sense of community.

Our History
The StoreHouse, Maryland's First Black-Run Food Bank is a leading food distribution and community resource center dedicated to serving families and nonprofit partners in the DMV region. Our mission is to provide fresh food and essential resources with love, breaking down barriers so that every family has access to the support they deserve.
Over the years, we've proudly served more than 50,000 families across the DMV and South Carolina. We support several nonprofits and churches, empowering them to serve their communities on a greater level.
Our Back2School Bash is a shining example of this commitment. On August 17, 2025, we are excited to invite families, partners, and volunteers to a day of fun, learning, and community building. The event provides free school supplies, fresh food, and a supportive environment where everyone can come together to celebrate the new school year.
